I've chosen to follow a few of the blogs on cpd23 but they don't show up on my blog - what am I doing wrong?

Library Blog

Does anyone blog for their library?
What do you blog on about?

New additions to stock, things you think may interest your customers or is it formal stuff or does it matter?

Finding myself on the web!

Amazing - there for the top link is my name even my age group and the people that live with me, interestingly enough it states that the person we bought our house from still "co-habits" with us - goodness, my gran was right there is a Mr Nobody that eats all the biscuits and leaves a mess!

There was also another link to a Prezi presentation I started to create in 2009 after a Web 2 meeting I went to - it's totally blank I may add. It's a useful tool for engaging students and our assistant librarian has devised a Library Induction with it for students to work through online - go to http://www.prezi.com/ and have a play.

Useful to note that I got different results from different browsers...

Thing 3

I'd never really thought about or considered the implications having a "brand"  but having revisted my blog I could see the importance of keeping things consistent and in a corporate style so I could be identified. I have now spent a while rebranding and launched myself yet again onto the blogroll.

OMG

I am looking at a random selection of other's blogs on cpd23 and I feel quite humbled, they are brilliant and the titles are very imaginative compared to mine! I have subscribed to follow one person so far - not sure what to say as a comment on them yet though - still a little shy I think.
I imagine blogging to be quite theraputic in many ways and a great way of sharing ideas and information.......

Thing 1

Well, got off to a good start - couldn't remember my details to log in! Is there something out there that will allow you to create a log of of this sort of stuff without it being visible to all and sundry - no doubt if there was it would need a password! I'm not usually such a clutz......
The reason I'm here....well I thougt I might get some knowledge, ideas, useful hints and tips on how to use today's technologies to promote, improve the service within which I work - an FE College in the Northwest. I am quite computer savvy so hopefully won't find it too taxing to learn, put into place etc.

I don't think I can talk about where my career is going as mine never took off really. I have done many things and enjoyed them all and now I find myself in a library supporting students in the use of IT as well has populating the college VLE with all things library, IT, world wide web etc.

I am looking forward to learning new things, can't think of what I'm least looking forward as yet.
